One of the biggest problem that strength coaches, sport coaches, and personal trainers face is working around lower extremity injuries. This is especially true if they are on crutches and completely non-weightbearing. Unfortunately, many coaches don’t have a lot of specific injury knowledge. I challenge you as a coach to learn everything that you can about what you can and can’t do with specific injuries. In the meantime, here are a few ideas as to how you can get work done, but stay away from the injured area.
