Deadstart Training is about teaching athletes to create stability throughout their entire chain from a fully relaxed position. Many of our athletes can’t initiate what is needed in their kinetic chain to create tension out of nowhere. The ability to do this is important for performance training and injury prevention. Using a TRX to perform suspended deadstart rows is a great place to start because of the mechanical advantage that comes with performing the row instead of a pushing exercise. From there, progress them to items such as deadstart pushups and more complicated movement patterns.
